Weddings

Congratulations on your engagement.  You have just taken one of the most important steps in life and are about to embark on a life long journey with the one you love.  Before you start though, there is the small task of planning your wedding. You have come to the right place.  A large part portion of the functions we do are weddings and we specialise in providing entertainment specifically for weddings.

We will be at your wedding ahead of time and will have all the equipment set up and operational so there is no disturbance to proceedings.  At most weddings we will set up at the reception venue so we can play background music and supply a wireless microphone for your speeches before the dancing begins.  We can however also be available at your wedding ceremony providing background music, a bridal march of your choice and a microphone for your minister/officiator.

When it comes to weddings we know who counts, it's you and we will go the extra mile to please our clients.  From bringing sound to your ceremony on the beach or in the bush, to making sure your favourite songs are played when you are actually on the dance floor, we know how to do weddings. Unlike other operators we do not hike up our prices for weddings or charge you more because you have booked the most expensive venue in town, our standard rates apply to all weddings.

Please browse our site and if you need any further information please contact us. We are confident that East Cape DJs will offer you the best wedding entertainment available in the region - Grahamstown, Port Alfred and the rest of the Eastern Cape.
Many couples place a low priority on selecting the entertainment for their wedding.  Here are some interesting statistics which show how important this decision is:
After the wedding 72% of brides say they would have spent more time choosing their reception entertainment.
94% of brides say they would have spent more of their budget on the entertainment.

During wedding planning, brides say their highest priority is their attire, followed by the reception site and caterer, reception entertainment is among the least of their priorities. Within one week after their reception, 78% of brides say they would have made the entertainment their highest priority.
When asked 81% of guests say the thing they remember most about a wedding is the entertainment.

65% of couples that chose a band to entertain at their wedding said that if they had it to do over again, they would have chosen a DJ.

Testimonial

I heard about East Cape DJs through 'word of mouth', and contacted them.  From the first email they were the epitome of professionalism, in their description of services offered, pricing structure, to arrangements for the day itself.  We had 2 short meetings prior to the day, and each time the DJ emphasised his philosophy: it was OUR day, therefore what we wanted was paramount.  On the wedding day, the DJ was at the venue twice during the day to ensure everything was ready in good time.  His equipment was faultless, and suited the venue perfectly: he had done his homework! As we had indicated beforehand we had a wide range of ages among our guests, and the DJ had every single one of them on the dancefloor: not once or twice, but most of the evening!  His music selection was intelligent, varied, lively, but most of all: it fitted.  We would recommend East Cape DJs for any function of this nature, as we feel that the DJs presence and skill added an immense value to our special day and the party that followed!

Thanks again, we really mean the above, we commented a hundred times to each other on honeymoon that you'd been brilliant :) - you even had Wayne's dad on his crutch on the dancefloor!!!!!!!!
